STATED MEETING - June 8, 2010

 

 

A Lodge of Fellowcraft was opened by Worshipful Master Art Birkemeyer.

 

Brother Jason Foust was installed as Junior Steward. Welcome to “the line”, Brother Foust.

 

The Secretary reported that we have nine members that have been reinstated to good standing as a result of the Grand Master’s Reinstatement Program.

 

        ENDOWED MEMBERSHIP     

 

Sharonville Lodge currently has no endowed members. With the increased dues possible now is a good time to consider this option. A one-time payment of $800 with no future dues payments enables your Lodge to receive the benefit of your endowed fund for as long as the Lodge exists. If you are interested in this, please contact the Secretary for more information.

 

 

 

DUES INCREASE PROPOSAL

 

A proposal was submitted at the stated meeting to increase our annual dues to $65 effective this year. Action on this proposal will be taken at the July Stated Meeting. As mentioned in the May bulletin, the per capita increase by the Grand Lodge plus our own expenses required us to consider this recommendation. Our Lodge has attempted to control costs to every extent possible and has also put forth many fund raising efforts, generally lightly received. We  have frequently borrowed money from the Building Maintenance Fund to cover annual costs.

SUNDAY, JULY 4th
 

Parade and Picnic

Lodge brothers will be walking this year in the Sharonville “4th on the Loop” Parade, and the brothers are to wear dark slacks, white shirt, and tie. Parade Line-up is 1:30pm (be at Lodge by 1:00pm) and starts at 2:00pm. Cardinal will have a float if you would like to ride - room permitting. After the parade, we will have a picnic at Lodge. Please bring a covered dish and Lodge will furnish the meat, buns, and drinks.
