STATED MEETING - January 8, 2008
Meeting was called to order at 8:00pm by WM Brandon Hoskins with all officers in their stations with the exception of Junior Deacon protemed by Larry Gilland, Tyler protemed by Larry Wilson, and LEO protemed by Bob Sears. Past Masters recognized were: WB’s: Ted Bailey, Don Horman, Chuck Kennedy, Jim Dovenbarger, Art Birkemeyer, Larry Wilson, and Gerhard Lohff (KYCH).

2008 DUES REMINDER
Unfortunately, we still have some members who have not paid dues for 2008 & are considered suspended as of December 31, 2007. If you are one of these members & want to be reinstated, please send your dues of $50.00 immediately to the Secretary.

MASONIC LAST RITES
Recently we have had services for our departed Brethren who were also members of the Scottish Rite. Unfortunately, there was no request from the families of these brothers to have a Scottish Rite Service. As a reminder to you & your family, please let your family members know if you desire to have any services in addition to the Masonic service by the Lodge. A request form is available & can be obtained by contacting the Lodge Secretary or through the Sharonville Lodge or Grand Lodge websites.
WIDOWS REMEMBRANCE
Sharonville Lodge continues to remember our widows at Christmas with the usual monetary gift. We currently have 65 widows on our list & are pleased to send them a card & gift. In return, for 2007, we received replies from seven & four were returned with no address available. Notification was also received for one deceased widow.
2008 SERVICE AWARDS
The Worshipful Master will be scheduling an Awards Night to recognize our 25- and 50-year members. This year we have nine members eligible to receive 25-year pins & five for 50-year pins. Information will be in a future bulletin as soon as a date is selected.
EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS
Grand Lodge Education & Information Committee has published an excellent new manual called “Preparing the Ashlar”. Copies are available for $3/each. After receiving & reviewing this manual, the Lodge has agreed to furnish a copy to all new members. Additional items available are “The Craft & Its Symbols” for $5/each, & “The New Member’s Guide to Freemasonry” are $10/each. Anyone interested in purchasing one of the above materials can contact the Secretary.

We have a lot of things coming up in the next month or so. We will be initiating 2 new candidates, one of whom will be our Inspection candidate.
Our annual inspection will be held on February 19th with dinner at 6:15pm, and the degree work to follow at 7:30pm. Please call me for reservations. I hope to see as many of you there as can make it
