Sanctum Sanctorum Meeting
January 23, 2010

Meeting was called to order at 1:00 PM by Prez Thor. Roll was called

Thor talked about the meeting in Decatur with all the Illinois Widow's Sons Presidents present. The problems were discussed on the proposed By-Laws for Illinois Chapter. There was one sticking point and that was election of a President or a rotating President in order of the Chapter being chartered.

By show of hands we agreed to vote 'to have an election of the Illinois WS President' and not to go to a rotation base.

We voted in a new member WBro Steve Walker, his road name was presented by Road Dog as "Flash". Steve is involved with photography so Road Dog thought the name was fitting.

We also saw two more and after some discussion they were accepted into the fold and they have their vest, patches, and road names in work.

Thor brought up the local events for traveling. They will be posted on the WEB page.

For our Community involvement we chose the Scottish Rite Learning Center and will present our proceeds to them on the October Walk. After some discussion we will do a poker run sometime in September. Singer and JD will be leading us on that path

There will be more coming out as those two figure out the W's (what, when, where)

Thor brought up the fact that we wear the Square & Compass on the back of our vest. We are there to support the Lodge's. Without membership in the lodge we could not be the WS. So we need to get out there and support our local Lodge.

Which leads us to the morning January 23rd, it was late in being sent out but there was still a good showing of WS at the Lodge. WBro Tackett asked for help at East Lodge No 504 and he did receive help in starting several members on the first step of Masonry.

Our Treasurer "Singer" is going to pursue a 501C checking account.

The Widow's Son degree will be presented at both Indy and KY state rally's, see web page for more.

Our First ride will be on February 6th meeting at Castletown Geoghegan at noon. The ride will be to the Circus Kick off at the Shrine in E St Louis at 1:00 PM. It will be lead by our VP Road Dog, who said " I will not ride in the rain, snow or on ice" So if it is bad and bikes are not coming out he plans to still meet and ride out from Castletown at 1:00 in vehicles. So come on out and support the Shriner's Circus Kickoff, enjoy some chili and Camel's milk?

Next one on the list will be April, again more to come on location etc…
