GREETINGS FROM THE EAST

It has been a busy year in the Lodge. We have raised a record 12 Brothers and have several more in line. We Initiated Bro. Chet Confer, father-in-law of Bro. Mark Koehler, on October 9th. On October 23rd, the Past Masters put on a 3rd Degree, Raising Bros. Wayne Carey, Billy Moore & Ken Willis of our Lodge and, as a courtesy, a Brother from Inglesby Lodge #267 in Greeleyville, SC.

November will be a busy month, too. We are getting dispensation from the Grand Lodge to open the Lodge at 7:00PM for our Business Meeting. We will take care of Business upstairs, then break for dinner. Please try to be there early so we can get started on time. We will have Ladies Night at our November 1st meeting and will hold elections for the ensuing year. We will have an Open Installation, with the public invited. The meal will be catered by Cedar Hill Landing Restaurant and the Ladies will eat free. I plan on having a great seafood dinner with hamburgers and chicken for those who don’t like fish. Please RSVP to me at 650-2800 or by email.

The Christmas party is December 7th at the Hanser House in Litchfield. We will be joined by Murrells Inlet Lodge #368. Meet and Greet will be at 6:00PM with dinner at 7:00PM.

We welcome back Bro. Charles Moore, who was reinstated after 35+ years. He is the father of our newly made Brother, Billy Moore.

Bro. J.D. Miller is responding to chemotheraphy and we all want to keep him in our prayers.

Fraternally Yours,
Bob Cape, WM

From the Secretary:

We are now 90 members strong even though, sadly, we have lost 5 Brothers to that building not made with hands. Our average age is down to 59 as more & more younger Brothers are joining us.

Three Brothers are in danger of losing their membership as their 2007 Dues are still unpaid!
