GREETINGS FROM THE EAST

I would like to thank you for your attendance at our last stated communication. I would like to remind everyone of the upcoming fundraising event and hope that all who raised their hands will follow through with their commitment. As charity is going to play a big part of our year 2008. I will be scheduling our new candidate’s degree work at February's stated communication. I would like also to apologize to the Brethren for not getting out the message from the east on the last Trestleboard. I intend on not making that mistake again and will follow through on future Trestleboards. As the new year begins I will still be concentrating on HARMONY, CHARITY, and keeping the regular meetings to a reasonable length. I am doing my best to listen to the Brethren on their concerns about trying to keep degree work consolidated so as to not having so many meetings during the week. But as you all know sometimes this will not be possible. I was just informed yesterday, January 7th, by John Cusick the Chairman of the Fellowship Committee that Brother Ronnie and that we will be able to have use of Caledonia for the Oyster Roast on February 2nd at 6:00p at the Fish Shed. For those non-Oyster eaters, we will be serving Chicken Bog or Shrimp Creole. The price per person will be $5 and I hope that you will bring your spouse or anyone you think may make a good mason. Please RSVP to me or WB Hugger. Any brothers who may have questions for me, please do not hesitate to contact me either in person, by phone or email. I again thank you for your continued support as I am quite aware that a Chief is no good without a great band of indians. I thought you would like my Indianology. Fraternally, Jeff Pelasara, WM

Wages from the WEST

Brothers, what a year we had in the Lodge in 2007! We set a record for raised Brothers and have a pool of excellent men waiting for their spots in our Lodge. With all this young blood in our Lodge, I am looking forward to a very exiting and productive year. As always, our new Worshipful Master, Jeff Pelasara, needs all our support and confidence in his efforts to make this year the best the Lodge has ever seen. With the help of some newly made Masons and some of our faithful standby's, we are now self sufficient in our degree work. That in itself is something to be VERY proud of. I look forward to serving your needs as Senior Warden this year and hope that everyone will feel free to contact me and speak their mind at any time. Let's make this a year that we all can be proud to have been a part of.

Please note that 2008 Dues are $85.00 and became due on Dec 31st. If the Dues Card in your wallet doesn't say "through 12/31/2008", please send to the Lodge PO Box. PI409 raised 14 new Master Masons and Affiliated 2 new members, had 0 NPDs. and conferred 42 Degrees in 2007 and I ask each of you to keep that trend going and to support WM Jeff Pelasara in his quest to take us to the next level. PI409 has a wonderful reputation for Fellowship and Charity and I hope we can continue that tradition! Get involved, learn a part, bring a qualified friend into the Lodge, do your part in our projects and attend our meetings.
