GREETINGS FROM THE EAST

This has been a eventful month for Pawleys Island Lodge #409, and SC Masonry. It all started with our Regular Communication on April 6th when we invited the Ladies to Dinner and a tour of the Lodge. We had an excellent turnout and I heard a number of positive comments from the Ladies. Thank You Stewards, for the excellent meal.

On Saturday April 8th, seven Brothers showed up for our periodic “Road Warrior” duty. We collected 38 bags of trash. A big "Thank You" to those dedicated Brothers of our Lodge who helped.

On Saturday, April 22nd we held our annual Rummage Sale in Surfside. A first count indicates we made over $800. Thanks to those who contributed items, and those who price marked, loaded, unloaded and were present on the day of the sale. We were almost rained out but managed to get the sale in.

Finally the annual South Carolina Grand Lodge meeting is at the Convention Center in Myrtle Beach on April 27th and 28th. I will give an update on the important items occurring at the meeting. I understand the Most Worshipful of Pennsylvania will be in attendance. A reminder - This event is open to all Master Masons.

At our next meeting, RWBro. Zack Dusenbury, PDDGM will attend to present John W. Sharp his 65 year pin. This is obviously an important event for Mr. Sharp and I hope you all can attend.

This is a major event for SC Masonry and if you have never attended, now is the time since it is only in Myrtle Beach about every 3 years.
