Brazelton Doesn't Leave Trowel at Leadvale

Six brethren from Brazelton 190 traveled to White Pine tonight, and helped the brethren of Leadvale Lodge confer Brother Anthony Kimbrough's Fellowcraft Degree. Before the Lodge closed, Worshipful Master Al Waddell was obliged to hand over the Jefferson County Traveling Trowel to Brazelton Worshipful Master Cliff England and five other brethren from Brazelton. Brother Waddell promised to be at the two initiations planned for Tuesday evening September 25 at Brazelton. The Brazelton contingent challenges all Jefferson County Lodges to try to claim the trowel tomorrow night, and all area Masons are invited to join them for dinner at 6:00 PM and for the Entered Apprentice degrees at 7:00 PM.

LEADVALE LODGE # 390 F&AM Claims "Traveling Trowel"

Six members of Leadvale Lodge Number 390 F&AM Attended Brazelton Lodge Number 190 at their stated meeting on September 13, 2007 and claimed the coveted Jefferson County "Traveling Trowel". The visiting brethren were treated with kindness and hospitality by the brethren of Brazelton Lodge as possession of the trowel was transferred to Leadvale Lodge worshipful Master Al Waddell.

The brethren from Brazelton Lodge were quick to promise that they will reclaim the trowel when they gather on September 24, and visit Leadvale Lodge at 7:00 PM during the conferral of a Fellowcraft degree at Leadvale.

The purpose of the traveling trowel is to promote harmony and fellowship between the five lodges of Jefferson County through this visitation program. To claim the trowel, a group of at least 5 members from a Jefferson County Masonic Lodge must attend a called or stated meeting of the lodge in possession of the trowel. The Traveling trowel was first awarded to Brazelton Lodge at the Annual meeting of District 22. on May 17, 2007. The brethren of Leadvale invite all area Masons to attend the Fellowcraft Degree on September 24, and challenges all Jefferson County Lodges to come claim the trowel.
