Bro. Dion L. Whitted 33°

(Worshipful Master 1997 & 1998)

 


Masonic career began in November of 1994. He was instrumental in the effort to Organize and Charter New Light Lodge No 27. He served in 1997 as the Worshipful Master during the Dispensation granted by The Most Worshipful St. James Grand Lodge, A.F. &A.M., State of Illinois. Re-elected and installed for the year 1998 he established high standards in Masonic Leadership which have carried on. During his terms he instituted a Masonic Lodge Officer Course, adopted By-Laws, and developed the Alumni Scholarships. He is a source of Inspiration and Wisdom to the brethren. Brother Whitted has served as Lodge Secretary from 1999 until 2001 since “Passing the Chair”. He is now Marshal of New Light Lodge No. 27. Grand Officer positions currently held as R.W. Grand Junior Steward and 2nd Vice President of the Past Masters Council. Bro. Whitted has progressed in masonry advancing through the Capitular and Chivalric degrees of the York Rite. Additionally he has advanced through all the Scottish Rite Degrees and has been honored as a Sov. Gr. Inspector General of the 33rd Degree.

Bro. Whitted is currently Worthy Patron of Martha Chapter No. 12, O.E.S., and also an Ambassador with Lady Knights.

 

 

 

Bro. Arthur A. Harden

(Worshipful Master 1999-2001)

 

Masonic career began in 1994. He is a Charter Member of New Light Lodge No 27, holding the office of Senior Warden during 1997 and 1998. In 1999 Brother Harden was elected and installed as Worshipful Master for three successive years. During his terms in office New Light Lodge No 27 continued to grow each year, quickly becoming ranked as a “Top Six” Lodge in the State of Illinois. Brother Harden has been a constant source of Strength and Motivation. He has also helped establish the New Light Lodge No. 27 - Charity Fund, and authorized the Adoption of an Order of the Eastern Star Chapter. Since “Passing the Chair” He currently holds the office of Treasurer. Bro. Harden has advanced through the Capitular and Chivalric degrees of the York Rite.
