FROM THE EAST :
Brethren, It has been a busy end of 2007 and beginning of 2008. Christmas in the Village of Cleves was a great success for North Bend Lodge. Children painted over 300 ornaments to take and give as gifts. Money was raised for the Special Olympics, Widow’s Fund, and the C.D. Coy Fund. Cincinnati Kinder Ballet presented a wonderful performance of "The Velveteen Rabbit". The following weekend Christmas baskets were distributed to 29 families in the area. What a splendid way to put the Brethren in the Christmas spirit. The New Year started in a flurry of activity. Brother Tim Voekel received his Fellow Craft Degree. Brother Voekel will be raised February 6th, please join us at 7:00 for his Master Mason Degree. The Annual Inspection of North Bend Lodge was held January 9th. Most Worshipful Ronald L. Winnett, Grand Master of Masons in Ohio, joined us for dinner and an Entered Apprentice degree. RWB Steven Grathwohl was our inspecting officer. The Pro-tem candidate was Brother Brandon Gibbons. North Bend Lodge is starting one of its many activities for 2008. January 16th will begin the Lodge Vidalia Onion Sale. Yes those sweet onions from southern Georgia. We are beating Kroger’s prices by selling a 10 lb. bag for only $10.00. All Lodge Brethren can take orders from friends and family. Call Rob Hons at 304-0663 for details. Brethren this is going to be a great year at North Bend Lodge. Keep checking your bulletins and the North Bend Lodge web-site for upcoming events and guest speakers. Fraternally, Rob Hons Worshipful Master
