April 1 2011

Brethren,

This spring our busy lodge may get busier after the state wide open house on April 2, 2011.  We have many petitions to vote on and some that have already been voted on and elected to receive the degrees of Freemasonry, and that’s before what may come at the open house.  The first batch of the new initiates will be initiated into our great fraternity on April 25, 2011.  This meeting will begin at 7:00 p. m..  Depending on the outcome of the Ballot five more candidates will all be initiated into the Entered Apprentice Degree on May 9, 2011.  This meeting will also begin at 7:00 p.m.
Congratulations are due to our newly raised brethren.  Congratulations Brothers on being Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason!  We hope this is just the beginning of a long Masonic career.
Brethren our lodge is in serious need of coaches.  With the influx of petitioners expected during the open house on top of what we already have our current coaches simply will not be able to keep up.  I urge anyone who is able to help to please step up.  As any of our current coaching staff will tell you, coaching is very rewarding and is a great way to get to know, and build relationships with our newly Initiated, Passed, and Raised Brothers.  Moreover, the more coaches we have the less burdensome it is on everyone.
I look forward to seeing all of you as you come out to support our officers in the fabulous work they do.

THE DESK OF THE SECRETARY

  1. We have an abundance of petitions coming in.  The Lodge needs brothers who can coach new candidates.  The load on existing coaches is really a burden and the more that are willing to get involved it lessens it on everyone.  Think about it.  We need your help.

  2. To the membership of Medairy 140 and the Masters, Wardens, and Brethren of our sister lodges; the following individuals have applied to this lodge for membership:

  3. April 2 every lodge in the state is holding an Open House in the hopes of attracting an interest in membership.  If you are interested drop by and help us.

  4. As always, dues are due for the year.  Dues are flowing in regularly.  Take a check, look at your dues card.  If it says 2010 you still owe dues.  Dues are $60.00, payable to Medairy Lodge 140

  5. We now have catechism booklets available as published by the Grand Lodge to aid candidates in learning the Catechisms.
