Scottish Rite Racing Program Kicks Off at Daytona ARCA Event

B.C. Motorsports and the Scottish Rite-Southern Jurisdiction announced today that Driver Brian Conz and the BC Motorsports Team will be participating within the 44th running of the ARCA Daytona Race Event scheduled as part of the Speed Week Programs at Daytona Beach.

The race at Daytona is scheduled for February 10 and will be televised live at 4:00PM (EST) this Saturday. This is part of the NASCAR Daytona Speed Week schedule with the race immediately preceding the Budweiser Pole Shoot-Out.

Brian Conz will be driving the "Scottish Rite #8 Dodge" TM owned by Norm Benning and Sadler Racing a Team that won this event in 2000. We anticipate a competitive race with the #8 car capable of running up front. The ARCA program features cars with comparable horsepower and speed to the NEXTEL Cup Series teams.

Originally scheduled to participate within the Busch Series event on February 17, a change was required due to Brian's lengthy absence from participation within NASCAR race events. This issue will be corrected as Brian completes his ARCA race schedule. We do anticipate that Brian will now be in the Scottish Rite Busch Race Car as early as California and no later than the Busch Las Vegas event.

The ARCA Race kicks off the Scottish Rite Race program for 2007 which will promote community programs and membership within this Fraternity based organization. Stan Dodd, Manager of Public Relations for the Scottish Rite stated "This is the exciting start of a long term affiliation with professional racing that will focus on the mission of the Scottish Rite and our aligned corporate partners". In addition to the introduction of the Scottish Rite car at Daytona, we now anticipate the formal announcement of major corporate partners within the next two weeks.

March-April 2007 Scottish Rite Journal

The March-April 2007 Scottish Rite Journal is an issue you will want to read from cover to cover. It has several articles that are exceptional. Steve Harrison tells the story of Jimmy McClure, the first US world table tennis champion. Dozens of new Scottish Rite Masons share their thoughts on joining, and Cliff Porter explains what young Masons really want, not what we think they want. Paul Nadeau relates the moving story of Loge Liberté chérie, a Belgian lodge formed in a German concentration camp, only two of whose members lived to see liberation. And, of course, there's the exciting announcement of the NASCAR Scottish Rite Racing Team. In short, it's an issue you don't want to miss.
