Ladies Night 2002

The Loyal Lodge annual night to honor our ladies was held at the Chateau Ritz in Niles on Friday, September 20, 2002.

Cocktail hour and dinner entertainment was provided by twelve year old piano prodigy, Mr. Stephen Solomon, who in his tux and cummerbund could have passed for a Lodge officer at an installation. His dexterity at the keyboard was a marvel to all who had the chance to hear him play. His dad Bob has every reason to be proud.

Sharing our dinner of Prime Rib and Salmon was Jim Durbin, Most Worshipful Grand Master of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Illinois and his lady.

M.W. Bro. Durbin gave brief and well received remarks as well as presenting our first annual Robert Zidron Memorial Award to our Junior Warden Ronald Zidron.

Each lady was presented with one long-stemmed rose and a souvenir bud vase which I am sure will become a collectors item.

The evening then went into high gear with the dynamic retro rock & roll stage show        presented by the recording group, the Sting Rays. It amazed some of the attendees when Frank and his guitar were off the bandstand and out on the floor dancing with the ladies! High energy and great fun was the order of the evening and I am sure we will see the “Boys From The South Side” again.

All in all, we had over 160 in attendance and everybody seemed pleased. Thanks to the entire committee that worked so hard to make this event one of our best ever.
