Doves Of Georgia Shooters

The birds came in and so did the rains. We had a record number of shooters, 150+.  Thanks to WB Art Hatten for putting together this great shoot.  He had the help of WB Daniel Brown and wife Donna, Ricky Hatten and John Crutchfield.  We had plenty to eat and drink for lunch and like I said we had birds to shoot.

Each gun is $100, that covers all the dove seasons.  Kids under 16 are free with paid adult.  The first day is opening day.  BBQ lunch will be provided.  A 12 pump will be given away as a door prize on opening day.  Our main field is off Hwy 96 in Peach County on Brock Road.  The club will decide which days they will hunt after that.  We usually hunt on Monday (Labor Day) then several other Saturdays during the season, it is up to the majority of the shooters.  We will have 4 or 5 corn fields to shot this year.  Some of the fields in the area have millet planted so the early birds may fly into those fields in greater numbers but we are in this for the long haul and will have greater numbers of birds during all the seasons.  The State and local game enforcement people know where we hunt and will drop by so please comply with all laws.
