John Russel Barton
55, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007 at his home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Janine Johnson Barton; his mother, Marguerite Long Barton and brother, Dow (Hilda) Spencer Houston Barton, nephew and nieces - Andrew, Kate, Jenny and Anna Barton of South Carolina. He graduated from Barry University in Miami Shores with a B.S. in Public Administration. John was a member of the Coral Gables Lodge #260 Where he was a Past Mater in 1990 and a Past District Deputy Grand Master in 1993. He was a member and officer of many (too many to list) allied and appendent bodies. John is a huge Florida Gator fan and I believe that he was a big contributor to their 2nd National football championship the very next night after his passing. Good Job John as always. John loved to snow ski and enjoyed several good trips recently.

 

Bernard R. "LUCKY" Silva entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2004. Lucky was born in Stoughton, MA on February 15, 1924. He came to Miami in 1947 following a tour of duty serving his country in the US Army in the European campaign during WWII. Lucky graduated from the University of Miami, where he was president of Sigma Pi Fraternity, with a Bachelors degree in Education. He later worked for Sears Roebuck and retired in 1992. Lucky was Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 35th Masonic District, and the Secretary of Coral Gables Masonic Lodge # 260 as well as a 32nd Degree Mason in the Miami Scottish Rite Body, a Mahi Shriner, member of Masters and War dens Association, Mi-am-I Grotto and Past Patron of Miami Chapter #141, OES.

DAVID PIKE, 60, passed away on June 30, 2004. He was a native of Miami and recently moved to Ponte Vedra Beach after retiring from the Miami Dade Aviation Department. He was a member and Past Master (1994) of  Coral Gables Lodge #260. He was Past Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star.
JOHN (Jack) H. LUPISELL, Jr., passed away on Jan. 22, 2005, Beloved husband of Evelyn. Father of Douglas (Carol) and Cynthia (Tim).  Mr. Lupisell was a Korean War combat veteran. He was also a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. A life member of West Seneca, N.Y., Masonic Lodge #1111 and Royal Palm Masonic Lodge #100, Mahi Shrine Temple, R.O.J. Court #88, Homestead Shrine Club and Ad Astra O.E.S. #71, VFW Post 4127, American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose. He took many trips to Tampa transporting worthy families to the Shrine Hospital.  LUIS SANJURJO Passed away March, 26 2005. He was sitting Tyler at Coral Gables Lodge No 260. He was also a veteran.
 
Francisco Carrillo Sr. was born Oct.4th,1922, served in Cuba's democratic military before Castro and volunteered to join US forces during W.W.II. He was a member of Teamsters Union. He was raised on April, 17.1948 and with a letter from the Grand Lodge of Cuba was accepted in Miami Temple Lodge # 247 on April 25.1998 he was a 56 year Mason when he passed on towards that place whom the borne never return on June 20th, 2004. Masonic Services were done by Pineland Lodge #86 at Interlachen,Fl. FORBES, JAMES B., 85, 2nd of 3 generations of presidents and owners of JB FORBES PLUMBING AND HEATING, INC., died on July 4th after a long illness. He had been in the Plumbing Business for more than 60 years. A resident of Miami for 83 years, he came from Columbus, GA in 1924. He was raised in Miami, graduated from Miami High School in 1937, and attended the University of Miami. He served in the Army during WWII. He belonged to the Biscayne Bay Lodge No. 124 of Free & Accepted Masons, the Miami Scottish Rite Bodies, the Mahi Shrine Temple, and was one of the early directors of the Plumbing Industry Program. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, philanthropy, and kindness. Predeceased by his wife, Mary Gaynelle and only son, James B. III, and survived by grandsons, Chad and Tim, daughter- in-law, JoAnn and many beloved nieces and nephews. TRAVIS, JOHN P., Vietnam era Veteran who served in the United States Navy, died peacefully July 5. Beloved husband of Ann; father of John P. Travis Jr., Kari Lyn Travis, Suzette (Rick) Staal, and Stacia (Jose) Victorero; son of the late John P. Travis and Isabel Travis of PA; brother of Ronald (Pam) Travis; grandfather of six grandchildren.  A 32nd degree Mason, Member of MAHI Shrine and Royal Order of Jesters Court 88. John served as American Legion Department of Florida Historian 2001-2004, Past Commander Post 31 1993-1997 as well as numerous other offices.
